Tayce has alleged that a "negative focus on trans people" prevented her from securing a spot on this year's Strictly Come Dancing. The drag performer, born Tayce Szura-Radix, rose to prominence after finishing as runner-up in the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race before making history by winning the BBC programme's Christmas special last year, yet was unsuccessful in obtaining a place on the main series.

The TV personality initially fuelled speculation about being overlooked when she suggested in a viral social media message that she was "too much" for the main show as celebrities including Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison, Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis and fellow drag artist La Voix were announced among this year's full series participants, reports the Mirror .
