Emmerdale viewers believe they've cracked the mystery surrounding Mackenzie Boyd's comeback - and it could be imminent.

Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) was last spotted on the programme the previous week, fleeing through woodland whilst being pursued by covert murderer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).

Just prior to this, Mack had deduced that John was responsible for Nate Robinson's (Jurrell Carter) death the year before and had disposed of his corpse in a lake.

In a desperate attempt to prevent Mack's escape, a gripping confrontation unfolded in the forest, where John hunted Mack whilst wielding a crossbow. John successfully struck Mack, with the bolt piercing straight through his torso, reports the Daily Star .
