MSNBC guest Norm Eisen lost it over President Donald Trump’s firing of Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook and ripped up a copy of her dismissal letter live on air to the shock of host Michael Steele and co-panelists.

The move, announced by the White House Monday and framed around mortgage fraud allegations , drew condemnation from some legal experts, including Eisen, since Federal Reserve governors can only be removed “for cause,” a safeguard designed to protect the institution’s independence.
