There’s a different energy surrounding Gooding football this fall.

Different energy in a community that loves football. Different energy from the players, with more showing up to the weight room as the summer rolled along. Different energy from a new head coach in Jon Helmandollar, and is looking to help a young Senators team that went 5-3 in 2024 take the next step.

“Everybody’s so excited in the whole town about having a new coach, a new program and having a winning coach,” senior wide receiver Eli Esterbook told the Times-News . “Just really excited.”

Helmandollar, who coached at Wendell the last four seasons, met the team for the first time in May, and the Senators have bought in so far. Kids want to improve and are putting in the work.
