It's been 18 years since N.C. State football has faltered with consecutive losing seasons.

Entering its 13th season under head coach Dave Doeren , the Wolfpack will try to avoid that fate after finishing with a 6-7 record in 2024. N.C. State has won at least eight games in four of the last five seasons, becoming one of the ACC's most consistent programs under Doeren.

Quarterback CJ Bailey , offensive lineman Anthony Carter Jr., along with linebackers Caden Fordham and Sean Brown, enter the 2025 season as the captains of the Pack. Tight end Justin Joly was the lone player on the roster to make the preseason All-ACC squad.
