THE POLICE OPERATION IN VICTORIA'S HIGH COUNTRY:
* Two officers were killed on Tuesday at a rural property in Porepunkah, about 300km northeast of Melbourne, in an alleged ambush
*The officers have been identified as a 59-year-old detective and a 35-year-old senior constable
*A detective was also seriously injured and is undergoing surgery
* The officers were ambushed by the alleged perpetrator who is believed to be a sovereign citizen
* He has remains at large and is heavily armed
*Authorities are searching for the man's wife and two children but he was not seen heading into the bush with them
