LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexington community members brought resources right to their neighbors' doorsteps along with ONE Lexington , the city's young adult gun violence prevention group.

The street outreach came after a shooting in a residential area last week.

For longtime educator and mother Kayla Hill-Gilvin, her responsibilities have extended beyond the school corridors on many occasions over her 15-year teaching career. She said when safety and security concerns arise outside of the classroom, she meets her students and their loved ones where they are.
