LOUISVILLE, Ky. — As communities across Kentucky continue their recovery from multiple natural disasters, residents may wonder what the future of disaster response may look like.

The Trump administration has signaled its desire to reshape FEMA, the agency tasked with coordinating disaster response for the country.

Rep. Hal Rogers, R-Somerset, told Spectrum News 1, Kentucky has had 13 presidential disaster declarations over the past five years with the costs of recovery help reaching nearly $1 billion.
