HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Henry County Police are investigating an alleged murder-suicide after a man allegedly shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself.

A woman was found dead in what was described as a "domestic violence incident" and an hourslong SWAT situation unfolded in a subdivision in Henry County early Monday morning.

A large police presence surrounded a home on Onyx Drive, in the subdivision off Ruby Lane. 11Alive's Dan Kennedy went to the scene, which began clearing around 5:30 a.m. Police say the area is safe for residents.
