A skinny Spider-Man walked around the New York State Fair , taking pictures with kids on Monday afternoon.

Only when The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus took the stage at Chevy Court did the crowd realize it was K Enagonio (they/them), the band’s brand new unclean vocalist. They had been dressed as Spidey and hanging out with us lowly fairgoers the whole time.

As the pop punk/alt rock group launched into their tight hourlong set, Enagonio emerged unmasked and stole the show.

Unclean vocals, otherwise known as death metal growls or screams, are difficult to master. This technique demands extensive practice and diligent breath control to avoid seriously damaging the vocal cords.

Enagonio is very good at this, though I hope they got a hot tea with honey after the show. It looks like exhausting
