CHICOPEE, MA. (WGGB/WSHM) - A car and school bus have collided on Interstate 391 in Chicopee.

Mass. State Police Trooper Leah O’Connell told Western Mass News that emergency crews were called to the northbound side of the highway, near mile-marker 2.6, around 7:30 a.m. after a car rear-ended a school bus.

When Western Mass News crews arrived on-scene Tuesday morning, several ambulances were seen along the highway, as well as a bus labeled Chicopee Public Schools along the side of the road. A couple tow trucks were also on-scene.

There were no traffic or lane closures on both the north and southbound sides of the highway.

O’Connell added that two students were taken to an area hospital as a precaution.
