The Philadelphia Phillies were served a brutal reminder of their recent struggles at Citi Field when they suffered a blowout loss at the hands of the rival New York Mets on Monday.

The Phillies held onto a considerable lead in the National League East division after the loss, but there were some reasons for concern after the blowout anyway. For one, the last thing the Phillies want to do is breathe new life into their division rival by giving up this latest series. And, for another, their best pitcher looked surprisingly shaky in the outing.
