A D.C. man shot at two teenagers who “were playing around” overnight, knocked on his door and ran, authorities say.
Teens in an apartment building in the 4600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SW knocked on a door at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday and ran away, D.C. police said Monday night.

Resident Darryl Woods, 64, opened the door and opened fire down the hallway “in the direction of the teenagers,” police said.
No one was hurt, but bullet holes were found inside a home.
A police report says officers interviewed the teens and the suspect at about 9 a.m. that day. The teens said they took out trash on their way to their apartment, knocked on Woods’ door and ran. Then, they said he shot at them. He knocked on the door
