The New Orleans Saints began trimming their roster Monday morning, waiving or releasing 14 players, and they've continued the process Tuesday.

The first reported move out of the Saints facility in Metairie was somewhat of a surprise, with the team waiving tight end Treyton Welch after a strong close to the preseason.

But the biggest early move came when the Saints parted ways with 2023 second round pick Isaiah Foskey , a player who had never delivered on his draft position since the Saints selected him out of Notre Dame.
