According to Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette, the Denver Broncos have waived wide receiver Courtney Jackson. In the preseason, Jackson was limited to just three receptions for 29 yards and did fumble the ball — though Denver recovered.

Courtney Jackson entered the NFL undrafted earlier this year, where he excelled as a slot receiver with shiftiness, ability to locate soft spots in zones, and reliability on third downs as a quick target. In his final two seasons at Arkansas State, Jackson piled up 81 receptions for 1183 yards and nine touchdowns.

Whether or not the Broncos add him tot he practice squad will likely depend more on what they saw in camp than in the three preseason games. We’ll have to wait and see what happens after he clears waivers this week.
