BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A man was arrested after police say drugs and a firearm previously reported stolen was found in his vehicle following a traffic stop.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, while working a crash at Highland Road and Lorri Burgess Avenue on Sunday, August 24, officers noticed a vehicle with dark tint on the windshield. Police say when the vehicle was stopped, a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from it.

Authorities say they found the following items during a search of the vehicle:

Over 2 pounds of marijuana

1 Glock 23 reported stolen through EBRSO

12 bottles of 16 fl oz of Promethazine

1.5 grams of Fentanyl

Police arrested Devante Pugh on the following charges:

PWID Marijuana

Poss of Legend Drug

Felon in Poss of Firearm

Poss of Sched II
