ST. LOUIS CARDINALS star Willson Contreras was ejected in extraordinary fashion from his latest Major League Baseball game.
Contreras, 33, completely lost his head during the Cardinals ' series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates .
The Venezuelan first baseman had to be held back by his coaches as he was escorted from the field.
Contreras had a colossal crashout after being struck out at the bottom of the seventh.
However, something he had said to umpire Derek Thomas as he walked away saw him get censured.
He apparently looked back in the direction of the umpire before an explosive row erupted.
Contreras spun around and charged back at Thomas as Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol attempted to defuse the situation.
But as he was pulled away, his anger only reached boiling point.
