Congratulations, it’s a girl!

Hurley Medical Center recently helped deliver 19 babies in 38 hours, between Aug. 20 and Aug. 21, with twelve of the babies born in a 10-hour period.

Of the newborns, 10 were girls, 9 were boys, and there were also two sets of twins delivered at the Flint hospital.

“We recently experienced an extraordinary event that truly put our training and systems to the test,” Heather Rayburn, Administrator for Women’s & Children’s Services at Hurley Medical Center, said. “This remarkable achievement stands as a powerful testament to our highly trained providers, dedicated staff, and the sophisticated processes essential for bringing so many new lives into the world in such a condensed timeframe.”
