A 27-year-old man, Samala Mahender Reddy, allegedly murdered his five-months pregnant wife, Swathi, on August 23, 2025, in Boduppal, Telangana.
The couple, who had an inter-caste love marriage in January 2024, reportedly faced ongoing marital issues, including allegations of dowry harassment.
Swathi had filed a formal complaint in April 2024, which led to a police case under Section 498A of the IPC and the Dowry Prohibition Act.
