A suspect has been charged and arrested following a false alarm involving a person with a gun at Sheetz in Boardman earlier in August.

According to a police report, 20-year-old Joshua Maizel-Anzevino of Struthers was arrested Monday, July 25 on a warrant for inducing panic, falsification and swatting.

An employee at Mahoning County Court #2 in Boardman tells 21 News Maizel-Anzevino was arraigned on these charges Tuesday morning and is due back in court for a pretrial hearing September 2.

The charges stem from an incident where Boardman police responded to the Sheetz gas station on Boardman-Poland Road for a report of a group of teens in a grey Jeep pointing a gun out the window.
