CLEVELAND, Ohio – Authorities say the body of a Bratenahl man was pulled from the water Monday off Edgewater Park.

The office of the Cuyahoga County medical examiner identified the victim as Albert Lenz, 72. A spokesman for the office said an autopsy was expected Tuesday.

Published reports indicate that surfers found Lenz’s body in Lake Erie about 5 p.m.

The incident came a week after authorities found the body of Jeffrey Williams, 64, of Cleveland. He was fishing on a pier near Edgewater Beach on Aug. 17 when officials said he fell off and hit his head.

Crews looked for Williams, but they temporarily suspended the search because water conditions were too dangerous.
