A driver crashed into the Mexicali Rose restaurant in Newtown on Tuesday morning and the restaurant is closed until further notice.

Newtown Hook & Ladder said crews responded to the restaurant on South Main Street around 9:30 a.m. and they found one person trapped in a car that had gone through the front window.

One person was removed from the car and transported to a hospital.

Mexicali Rose posted on its Facebook page that it will be closed until further notice.
