WASHINGTON (KCRG) - Iowa is one of 46 states being told by the Trump Administration to remove gender ideology from sex education materials.

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), materials containing references to gender ideology must be removed within the next 60 days.

The action “reflects the Trump Administration’s ongoing commitment to protecting children from attempts to indoctrinate them with delusional ideology,” according to HHS.

46 states received letters from HHS, stating failure to comply with the new standard will result in the “withholding, suspension, or termination” of Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) funding.
