The Special Victims Squad reports the arrest of a Glen Cove man for an incident that began on April 1, 2016 and continued up to March 9, 2020 in Westbury. According to Detectives, Defendant Jose Rodriguez, 49, of 195 Glen Cove Avenue while employed at a daycare center located in Westbury did inappropriately touch a 10-year-old male victim. The abuse continued until the victim was 13 years old. On Monday, August 11, 2025 the defendant walked into a Dunkin Donuts where the victim is currently employed, after the defendant left the store the victim notified the police. The defendant was located and placed under arrest on Monday, August 25, 2025 in front of 202 Glen Cove Avenue without incident.
