Mafalda Minnozzi will make September appearance at The Nash

Italian chanteuse Mafalda Minnozzi will make an anticipated stop at The Nash in Phoenix in September.

As part of her world tour supporting her new album “RIOFONIC,” Minnozzi will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 at downtown venue for live jazz.

Recorded in Rio de Janeiro, the new album blends jazz with the soul of Brazilian music — samba, bossa nova, and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) — reimagined with contemporary arrangements and Minnozzi’s improvisational flair.

Audiences can expect multilingual storytelling and a setlist that weaves “RIOFONIC”’s fresh material with jazz standards and Brazilian classics.
