What started with a friendship bracelet has officially led to a ring.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged after around two years of their public relationship, which began after Kelce called Swift out in an ad read on his New Heights podcast. The 14-time Grammy winner posted photos to Instagram on Tuesday from Kelce's proposal — all accompanied with the song, So High School (written about Kelce).

The huge news came just a week after Swift appeared on New Heights to announce her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. In that two-hour appearance, she also gave the podcast credit for bringing the Chiefs tight end into her life.

She wrote of her engagement:

Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married

Fans had been waiting for this moment ever since the two began dating, so all of social media went into a frenzy over the announcement.
