Florida football coach Billy Napier is no stranger to playing challenging schedules since first arriving in Gainesville in 2022.

Last season, the Florida Gators went 8-5 against a schedule with 11 power four conference teams, including Miami, UCF and Florida State .

This season, Florida projects to play the toughest schedule in the country, per ESPN's College Football Power Index, with seven preseason US LBM Top 25 teams, beginning Sept. 13 at No. 9 LSU.

With the SEC going to nine conference football games in the 2026 season, the scheduled only project to get more difficult. But Napier understands the upside of the league going to nine games, including the broadcast rights revenues it can create in the future.
