With 93 players on the roster heading into training camp which begins Thursday, the Western Hockey League club has an optimistic outlook for the upcoming season after two straight years finishing in the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Article content Article content
“We’re definitely trending in a different direction than we were the last two years,” said Pats head coach Brad Herauf, who is entering his third season as head coach after eight years as an assistant. “I’m sure it’s much like farmers, you know it’s coming and you know it’s that time of year to go to work. And for us, I know our players are really excited.
“We’ve got everybody coming back here and there’s going to be some really good competition in our team.”
