The Newmarket Hurricanes scored 6 unanswered goals in the second period en route to a 7-1 win over the Powassan Voodoos at the Terry Geddes Cottage Cup pre season hockey tournament in Collingwood on Tuesday night.

Tyler Brunet had the lone Voodoos’ goal in the setback, which drops the Voodoos to 0-2 in the tournament. Earlier in the day, the Voodoos opened up the event with a 5-2 loss to the Timmins Rock.
