It's official: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged. The power couple has been dating for just over two years, and the singer and NFL star announced the proposal on their personal Instagram accounts on Tuesday afternoon. The five photo carousel featured an adorable series of engagement photos of the couple, with the third showing off the utterly brilliant ring.
Set to Swift's song "So High School" from her 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department, the engagement ring is an elongated oval diamond (an old mine cut) set on a gold band. It was reportedly designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, a New York based designer.
The star-studded pair started dating in the summer of 2023 after Kelce went to see the 14-time Grammy winner perform her record-breaking Eras Tour in Kansas City. Even more behind-the-scenes details about the relationship emerged after Swift made her podcast debut on the New Heights show earlier this month, hosted by Kelce and his big brother, Jason.
Throughout their relationship, Swift and Kelce have been wildly supportive of each other's careers with Kelce traveling internationally to support her tour and Swift attending a significant number of Kelce's NFL games.
The fall will continue to be busy for the couple with Kelce's 13th football season starting and Swift's 12th studio album -- The Life Of A Showgirl -- coming out October 3.
Who is Kindred Lubeck?

What is old mine brilliant cut?
Per Vrai.com:
The Old Mine Cut is a historic diamond cut that was the most common diamond cut from the early 18th century to the late 19th century, which corresponds to the Georgian and Victorian era. During the height of the popularity of this engagement ring cut, diamonds were cut by hand and their measurements were eyeballed.
Old Mine Cut diamonds are square shaped with rounded corners and have 58 facets. However, no two Old Mine Cut diamonds are alike. You can recognize one by its small table, larger culet, and high crown.
