Massive queues of fans were filmed waiting outside the Royal Highland Centre hours before doors opened for Chappell Roan's first Edinburgh gig.

Footage showed queues stretching around the car park on Tuesday morning as fans awaited entrance to the venue.

The video was posted to social media with the caption "Edinburgh N1 queue 11.50", indicating that fans had lined up hours before 4pm entrance, seemingly in competition for the best standing room.

Fans can be seen decked out in their best concert gear. Many wear pink, in reference to the star's iconic song "Pink Pony Club".

Several can be spotted sporting pink cowgirl hats.

It comes as American pop superstar Chappell Roan is taking the stage at the Royal Highland Centre for two shows on Tuesday, August 26, and Wednesday, August 27.
