GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — With Labor Day fast approaching, you may be trying to squeeze in one more road trip or visit family for the holiday weekend—and lower prices at the pump will give your wallet a break.
GasBuddy, a petroleum analysis company, released its annual Labor Day gas forecast on Tuesday. Their projections show some relief this holiday weekend, with this year's prices being the cheapest since 2020.
GasBuddy is predicting gas will be $3.15 per gallon on Labor Day. This is 14 cents cheaper than last year and significantly cheaper compared to recent Labor Day gas prices:
2020: $2.22/gal
2021: $3.16/gal
2022: $3.79/gal
2023 $3.77/gal
2024: $3.29/gal
