According to Mike Klis of 9News, the Denver Broncos have waived safety Keidron Smith. He joined the Broncos in 2023 as an undrafted free agent after short stints with the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders as a rookie.
Keidron Smith went undrafted in 2023 after college at Ole Miss (2018-2021) and Kentucky (2022), totaling 269 tackles, 33 passes defensed, seven interceptions (one touchdown), and six forced fumbles. He signed with Denver, appearing in nine games in 2024 with seven tackles (four solo). At 6’2″ and 201 pounds, he has good size for the position.
With his experience on the practice squad in both 2023 and 2024 and even made the final 53-man roster last year. He’ll likely be a priority practice squad candidate for the Broncos once he clears waivers.
