DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers will open the season on the West Coast for a second year in a row.
The Tigers’ first game of 2026 will be at Petco Park against the San Diego Padres on March 26. After three games in San Diego and three in Arizona against the Diamondbacks, the Tigers return home to play their first game at Comerica Park against the St. Louis Cardinals on April 3.
Major League Baseball released the full 2026 schedule for all teams on Tuesday.
The Tigers won’t play their first American League team until April 6 at the Minnesota Twins.
The Tigers will play at Fenway Park for the traditional Patriots’ Day game on April 20.
