According to Mike Klis of 9News, the Denver Broncos have waived defensive tackle Kristian Williams. The undrafted free agent was picked up by Denver earlier this year.
Williams had his rookie campaign derailed by injury and he’ll be a name we might see pop back up either on the practice squad later this year or as a reserve/futures contract next year where he will hopefully get another shot to make an NFL roster.
As Chris Hart noted in our roster review in June, Williams was always going to be a development-type candidate for a team’s practice squad. So for now, Williams will need to focus on rehab and hit the grind post-injury.
