Taylor Swift is engaged to Travis Kelce after two years of dating.

A pop star known best for her chronicling of romance − whether first loves, last loves, or anything in between − Kelce is the first suitor to whom she's agreed to say "I Do."

Swift's storied romantic history, which has been the driving force behind her hugely successful catalog of music, is populated by celebrities big and small (even a Kennedy). But Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, stands out as the leading man who will take the songstress to the altar, a first for both of them.

The pair announced their intention to tie the knot Aug. 26 in a joint Instagram post. Sweet photos of the two saw Kelce down on one knee, gifting Swift a hulking Old Mine Brilliant cut diamond.

The photos were shot in a lush, rose-adorned garden, and posted with the accompanying caption: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

The pair, who have been spotted supporting one another whether through Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour or Kelce's Super Bowl run last year, have not shared when they plan to tie the knot, though there will certainly be two busy schedules to navigate.
