EAGLE MOUNTAIN — One person was hospitalized after a large fire broke out at their condominium in Eagle Mountain on Tuesday in the middle of the night, forcing 12 units to evacuate.

Residents recounted the frantic scene they found themselves in at Willow Springs Condos at 8043 N. Ridge Loop just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday. The large flames had engulfed the second and third floors, and eventually the roof and attic too.

According to the UFA , six police officers were also treated for smoke inhalation at the scene after they ran inside to help evacuate the building. A resident on the first floor, Corbin White, said he awoke to see the flames and began kicking in his neighbor’s doors to warn them.
