J. M. Smucker Co. announced a recall of select lots of its Hostess Ding Dongs products sold in the U.S. due to “the potential for the presence of mold"

The company said an investigation found “a mechanical issue with a piece of equipment created conditions that could support the development of mold" in the product

Among the items recalled are Hostess Ding Dong products, which have best by dates between Aug. 30 and Sept. 3

Hostess is ringing back a few of its Ding Dongs.
