Syracuse, N.Y. — The state Attorney General’s Office announced Tuesday it would not recommend charges be filed against a Syracuse officer who fatally shot a man during an exchange of gun fire in May.

Donnell Hogan , 42, was shot by police shortly after 10 p.m. inside Moses Dewitt House apartment building at 212 N. Townsend St. on May 13.
