Military members surprised students at two Baldwin County Schools on Monday.

Lelathis McGlaurin returned home from active duty to surprise her daughter at Bay Minette Middle School. The girl jumped from her desk to hug her mom.

On the same day, two students at Pine Grove Elementary were surprised by their sister who returned home after a three-year deployment overseas. Jaidyn and Jace Johnson were shocked when their sister, a member of the U.S. Navy, walked into their classrooms.

“The moment was filled with tears, hugs, and overwhelming happiness as the siblings were finally reunited after years apart,” Pine Grove Elementary posted on Facebook. “It was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our military families—and the deep love that holds them together across any distance.”
