JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars changed the roster in a big way Tuesday.
Twelve days before the 2025 regular-season opener , the Jaguars had one of their busiest transaction days of the year as they reduced their roster to the NFL regular-season limit of 53 players.
Teams had until Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST to reduce to 53.
The Jaguars waived 28 players Tuesday, released five others, waived/injured one player, placed one on reserve/injured (designated to return) and one on injured reserve.
Safety Daniel Thomas was among the players released by the Jaguars Tuesday – and linebacker Chad Muma, defensive lineman Tyler Lacy, defensive lineman Jordan Jefferson, offensive lineman Javon Foster, cornerback De'Antre Prince and defensive end Myles Cole were among the players waived.
