NANTUCKET, Mass. —
The Boston dentist who repaired the chipped tooth of Boston Celtics player Derrick White during the run-up to the team's 2024 national championship win now has a new venture. Instead of patients going to see Dr. Maged El-Malecki, he is going to see the patients.
El-Malecki founded FlossTime with President Mike Laskowski to make dental care easy and mobile. FlossTime is a pop-up dental studio that El-Malecki has taken to college campuses, businesses and even the home of Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.
"The way we've felt we're contributing heavily is in helping people access care and catching disease and catching problems early on," said El-Malecki. "Before they end up costing them a lot more money and a lot more visits."
