MINNEAPOLIS — Hundreds of Democrats from across the country are gathering in Minneapolis this week for the Democratic National Committee's summer meeting, as the party draws up plans to counter the Trump administration and the Republican-controlled Congress in next year's midterms.
The three-day meeting marks a homecoming for new DNC Chair Ken Martin, the former head of the Minnesota DFL, who took the reins of the national party just weeks after Democrats suffered major losses at the ballot box in 2024.
