Tuesday was hectic across the NFL .

With the cutdown deadline at 4 p.m. ET, teams were required to trim their rosters to 53 players heading into the regular season.

There will still be tweaks over the next week-plus, but clubs can't carry any more than 53 players on their active rosters until next offseason. Inevitably, there were some shocking decisions with former Super Bowl champions, Pro Bowlers and young talent let free.
