FORMER USF head coach Jim Leavitt was arrested on Monday.

The ex-coach was arrested in St. Petersburg, Florida and charged with multiple offenses.

Jail records show that Leavitt was charged with domestic battery, simple battery, and grand theft greater than $5,000.

An arrest affidavit from the St. Petersburg Police Department showed that Leavitt grabbed his ex-girlfriend by the arm when she tried to walk away from him.

He also "pushed" a man in the chest, according to police.

Leavitt is accused of stealing a Louis Vuitton purse, a Louis Vuitton wallet, and a Louis Vuitton clutch.

The items are valued over $5,000, but less than $10,000.

Leavitt was the long-time coach of the USF Bulls, starting with the program at its inception.

He coached from 1997 to 2009.
