LINN COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - Authorities from multiple agencies responded to a wildfire that sparked in a field near Sweet Home on Monday.

The fire started around 4 p.m. Monday in the area of Rice Road and Crescent Hill Road, off of Highway 228, west of Sweet Home.

According to the Sweet Home Fire District, the fire was sparked under a pickup truck operating in tall, dry grass.

The truck was able to drive away without any damage, but the fire quickly spread to a nearby RV and into a grass field, burning 25 acres in total.

The RV was destroyed, as was the siding on a pumphouse, but no injuries have been reported. Several structures suffered minor heat damage.

Officials say forward progress of the fire was stopped around 5:30 p.m. Monday. As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, the fire was reported to be 6
