More details from a fatality after a three-vehicle crash along U.S. 24 between Woodmen Road and Judge Orr Road were released during a news conference with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

Colorado State Patrol said a three-vehicle crash shortly after 8 a.m. left one person with minor injuries. The Sheriff's Office also was called to the scene to conduct a homicide investigation, officials said.

The drivers of the other two vehicles stayed on scene and tried unsuccessful life-saving measures
