SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - Even though models are trending somewhat drier compared to yesterday, it still appears that parts of the ArkLaTex will see some heavy rain late this week. Flooding will be our main weather worry. Even that concern will be rather low.

Severe weather worries: The threat of showers and thunderstorms will increase by the end of the week. The most widespread rain will likely fall on Friday. We likely will see a few storms produce some rather strong winds, but organized severe weather is still looking unlikely. We will have to keep an eye on the chance of isolated pockets of heavy rain and the resulting potential for flooding.
