NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department has opened a formal death investigation after the body of was found Tuesday morning in a lagoon near his home in New Orleans East, nearly two weeks after he was reported missing.
At a news conference Tuesday afternoon, NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick confirmed the body was located with the help of advanced drone technology provided by the United Cajun Navy, in the same area where Bryan was last seen on August 14. He had been missing for 12 days.
“The NOPD will look at all circumstances surrounding the death of this young boy,” said Kirkpatrick.
