MANDEVILLE, La. — A Mandeville family is thankful to have their daughter home safely tonight, and a teen driver is under arrest after deputies say he drove his truck around a stopped school bus.

Now, the family is sharing their story in the hope of warning all drivers to obey school bus laws.

The LeBlanc family ring cam shows a typical day after school. The school bus pulls up, but so does a white pickup. Out of camera view, 12-year-old Alexa LeBlanc gets off the bus, but she says the pickup's driver ignored the bus's flashing lights and stop signs and went around it on the grass.

“It didn't stop, and the bus driver was all on his horn. He definitely knew that he hit me and didn't stop. I thought that I was in front of the car and that I might have died,” said Alexa LeBlanc.
